CGiii Comment

It does give the impression that every woman in the army is a lesbian...

The problem with this film is...she's not exactly subtle...! It didn't take a genius to figure out her 'preferences'!

The(ir) Blurb...

Year 1987. Private Jane Cross is quickly noticed during her training by Master Corporal Maryann Kirk, and for more than her skills on the battlefield. Meanwhile the military police wage a secret war on homosexuals, spying on soldiers suspected of engaging in 'immoral conduct'. But if Jane and Maryann are careful, will anyone discover them?

Based on the true accounts of lesbians and gays who served in the Canadian military despite a ban on homosexuals. Until the ban was lifted in 1992, no one was permitted to serve openly under threat of dismissal. The lives of soldiers were scrutinized closely by the military, as it searched for evidence to be used against them during a witch hunt that lasted for decades.
