Lady Like is a docu-fiction film about Rex Wheeler a.k.a. Lady Camden. The documentary follows Rex as he blasts into international fame on RuPaul's Drag Race and explores why he so desperately needs drag. Meanwhile, the fictional narrative is about Lady Camden appearing in San Francisco after a glittery dumpster explosion and needing to find her way home to G-A-Y Heaven (a famous London nightclub). She enlists the help of a young boy, and the two narratives collide in a climax at Heaven nightclub, where Lady Camden saves the boy from a group of bullies. We discover that the boy has been Rex's inner child all along. Drag has been Rex's way to find healing from a traumatic childhood.
