  • Producer: Jonathan Dowling; Michele Fantl

CGiii Comment

It would be too easy to condemn this film as overly indulgent - which it, undoubtedly, is.

As a film...it is an achievement from New Zealand that should be appreciated - however, the indulgence and the darker side of homosexuality makes it a little too unpalatable.

Maxwell obviously wants to tell the world that the gay community is just too fucked-up to be taken seriously.

Lighten up - the New Zealand countryside is a beautiful backdrop. Use it.

Still...worth a watch (maybe).
