Maya, a young army widow, and Nurit, her childhood friend and sister in law, meet surprisingly at the Israeli National Memorial Day service in the small village they grew in, by the Sea of Galilee. After several years of estrangement, the two find themselves thrown between ceremonies of death, memory and independence and are forced to face the complexity of their mutual love.
