CGiii Comment

A rebellious, overweight teenager refuses to play the part of the punching bag in those norm-defying, semi-biographical coming-of-age drama that anyone can relate to.

14-year-old Juliette wants many things. To leave the boring, countryside dump where she lives with her dad and big brother and move to New York. To date the hottest guy in school, arrange the coolest parties and hang out with the coolest friends. Things simply out of reach for the fattest girl in school. But Juliette has a vivid imagination and refuses to play by the rules. During the last weeks before the summer holiday, things come to a head. Émond (Our Loved Ones) is back with a warmly humorous and vibrant tale about coming to the realisation that the things you already have may be the ones that really make you happy.
