CGiii Comment

A kind of sterile Fame for the new millennium - minus any writing talent whatsoever.

Nicholas Hytner - what were you thinking?

The direction is as bold as a polar bear in a blizzard - DANCE HAS TO BE BOLD.

It's as predictable as looking into a mirror.

Really, this is just a chick flick with a few dance moves thrown in - the biggest surprise is that there is only one gay man in a ballet school - how ridiculous is that!?!

Harmless nonsense with some pretty crappy acting and constant cliches.

The(ir) Blurb...

The education of three young students, Jodie, Eva and Maureen, as they study at the American Ballet Academy. Life isn't what they expected at the esteemed ABA, and all three face problems along the road. Jodie doesn't have the "ideal" body for dancing, Eva doesn't have the right attitude, and Maureen doesn't have the heart. Along the way, they learn that love can be found in unlikely places, and dancing should be a passion, not a duty.
