The set-up and situation makes this immediately confrontational. It is a little hard to digest.

Then...the actual confrontation is indigestible.

The gay man comes across as an absolute ass...what could have been an interesting clash of gay, white privilege versus the post-AIDS, snowflake privilege...goes absolutely nowhere.
