The(ir) Blurb...

Bo & Mei deals with intimate issues about racial tolerance, gender identification and familial love. It is about a second generation Chinese immigrant family living in the uk. The father, Long-Wei is an owner of a dry cleaners and experiences racial prejudice from a customer. Long-Wei however is not without his own prejudices, he finds it difficult to accept his son Bo who wants to wear female clothing. With the love and encouragement of his younger sister Mei, Bo finds the strength to stand up for the things that make him different by defending his culture to the bigoted customer. He shows his father that strength comes from within regardless of what we are on the outside.
