Filmens huvudtema är suicidalitet i samband med nära relationer. Men dess fokus ligger inte på suiciditeten. Istället ger den insikter i tankar och känslor hos en nära person/partner som själv aldrig haft några självmordsavsikter.

English: The main topic of the film is suicidality in context of close relationships. But its focus is not on the suicidality itself. Instead it gives insights into the thoughts and feelings of a close person / partner who never had any suicidal intentions themselves.

English: In northern Colombia, a group of queer activists are practising a militancy that challenges heteropatriarchal norms while engaging in a collective struggle against the many social injustices that plague the region.

"Sluta vara olycklig." Efter att ha blivit dumpad av sin flickvän med dessa ord kan Mi-hae, sångaren i ett indie-band, inte förmå sig att sjunga i bandet längre. Hjälp kommer oväntat och i slutändan låter allt mycket bättre.

English: “Stop being miserable.” After being dumped by her girlfriend with these words, Mi-hae, the lead singer of an independent band, cannot get herself to sing in the band anymore. Help comes unexpectedly and in the end everything sounds much better.

Leo is a stand-up artist from Armenia who is not afraid to talk about topics that have been taboo for years. Armenian media has been "colonized" by foreign media outlets for decades. Russian media influence has always been significant, especially in comedy. Comedy shows were flooded with discriminatory speech and sexism and homophobia were an integral part of jokes. Leo is a stand-up artist from Armenia, who uses his routine to address issues that have long been taboo.

NIKITA: STAGE AS A SHELTER

This short documentary explores a new wave of queerness in Georgia and how music can be used as a way of liberating marginalized people. To be a queer artist in Georgia is still problematic due to entrenched homophobia in the country. Nikita, with extraordinary style and a complex personality, is currently the only openly queer artist in Georgia. The interview that explores Nikita’s world and unpacks the concept of music as a safe space, was shot in an abandoned building, which can be considered a symbol for queer spaces in Georgia, as it’s always most of the LGBTQ+ community lives in the shadows. NIKITA: Stage as a shelter follows the creative process of creating a track about a safe space, which was specifically created for this documentary.

BEHIND THE MASK: CONTEMPORARY DRAG CULTURE IN KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstan's drag scene emerged in the late 90s and is now experiencing a new wave of popularity. In Tolganay Talgat's documentary, artists and performers of different ages, ethnicities, and genders share how they find ways to self-expression and activism in drag. Despite facing prejudice, drag culture continues to attract new audiences and support the queer community.
